Korean Global Pastors Conferences

Shincheonji Word Seminar moves
the
hearts of pastors

Eighth lecture by Chairman Man-hee Lee in 2023

In the world of churches, which has experienced impressive growth, a remarkable restructuring process is currently taking place. More and more pastors are listening carefully to the word of Shincheonji and are convinced that a new era is imminent. One pastor reported at the Shincheonji Word Seminar in Seoul that the worldwide enthusiasm for the Word of Revelation can now also be felt among Korean pastors.

The missionary work of Shincheonji attracts hundreds of pastors each time, which shows the extraordinary interest of the church community. In the first half of the seminar series, which lasted two months from April to July, more than 460,000 people worldwide participated online and on site, including an impressive 54,000 pastors. The second half of the seminar series, which took place in five consecutive events in October, was attended by 11,200 people, including 1,150 pastors. These events were also broadcast on YouTube, reaching thousands of viewers each time. These promising results reflect the growing interest of pastors in the theology of Revelation.

Former and current pastors who had previously dismissed Shincheonji as a cult were amazed at the quality of Shincheonji’s word after Lee’s inspiring talk. They confessed that they have a deep hunger for the Word of God and that they have not understood the Book of Revelation to this extent even after decades of ministry. Lee also expressed a sincere desire to help other pastors and church members understand and share what they have learnt.

Testimonies of the pastors

‘A look at the Book of Revelation...
God is with us’
‘In all the years that I have studied and taught the Bible, I have been plagued by the same questions: ‘How should I interpret these words?’ and ‘What is the true meaning behind them?’. But today, as I listened to the sermon at the Shincheonji Word Seminar in Busan, I suddenly got the clear answers I had been searching for so long’.

Another pastor who attended the Word Seminar in Daegu remarked that although the established denominations felt they were in the right, what ultimately mattered was whether the Bible was understood correctly. When he saw how Shincheonji interpreted the Book of Revelation, everything seemed right to him. The fulfilment of the prophecy reached up to Revelation 17, and he found it remarkable that Shincheonji had created the kingdom of God, the 12 tribes, according to the Bible. He encouraged the audience to read the Bible for themselves, as everything is already written.

Another pastor reflected on his 30 years of ministry and sincerely regretted his mistakes: ‘I have kept my church members in ignorance so that they could not find the way to heaven, and in God’s eyes I have become like a fool.’

These are the lasting impressions of the pastors, missionaries and teachers who listened attentively to Lee, the president of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, during the first series of seminars this year (April to July) and later during the second series of seminars (October).
